Speaker Steve Wing, Ph.D, Associate Professor, Department of Epidemiology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has focused his work on environmental injustice and health effects of ionizing radiation, industrial animal production, sewage sludge, and landfills. He has collaborated on health and exposure studies with communities and workers impacted by threats to environmental and occupational health. He is a founding member of the North Carolina Environmental Justice Network. Dr. Wing will discuss how industrialization of agriculture impacts health inequalities.
