Speaker: Thomas Land, PhD, Director of the Office of Data Management and Outcomes Assessment, Massachusetts Department of Public Health. The Department of Public Health (MPDH) is the primary source of health data in Massachusetts. These data vary from birth records and death records to medical claims, clinical data, and over 300 administrative data sets managed by MDPH. There’s little value to this data unless figure out how to use it. The speaker will present a practical look at complex data systems and how they might be used answer complex questions.
