The School of Public Health is looking for student representation on all relevant school-wide committees. Student members serve as the voice for SPH students and are full voting members of these committees. Student members collaborate with other student and faculty colleagues and regularly communicate the committee’s work back to the student body via Student Senate meetings.

Ideal candidates for these student representative positions will be able to serve a one-year term, with the option for a second renewable term, beginning in fall 2015. Student members can be from any degree program.

To apply to be a student representative, please submit a copy of your resume and a one-paragraph self-nomination explaining why you are interested in serving on one of the below committees to Mary Murphy-Phillips at mcmurph@bu.edu, by Friday, May 15, 2015.

SPH seeks to have student membership that reflects our diverse community, including representation from different educational programs, various stages of progress toward degree, and a variety of disciplines. Student members will be selected by the chair of each of the committees in consultation with Associate Dean for Education Lisa Sullivan.

In addition to the committees listed below, the president of the Student Senate will be invited to become a member of the School’s Governing Council, which is the preeminent governing body at the School.
