APHA membership rules have changed to allow
members to join one additional section at no charge!
Dear Students,
The Disability Section of the American Public Health Association continues
to be at the forefront of ensuring that disability-related health
disparities are addressed by the public health community. As our section
pursues this important work, it is continually important for us to get the
word out to people who would appreciate the work of our section and would
want to support it by becoming section members.
As of January 1, 2013, APHA membership rules have changed to allow
members to join one additional section at no charge. This can provide a
great opportunity for recruitment to increase our membership!
If you are members of other sections of APHA, we are asking that you
consider joining the Disability Section as a secondary member-at no
charge! For example, if you are already a member of the Maternal and Child
Health Section you can join the Disability Section at no additional
charge.
We hope that you will use this opportunity to promote the work of the
Disability Section and help us to keep our section strong!
Please get in touch with either of us if you have questions OR if you
would like us to forward some Disability Section brochures to you to
assist with recruitment.
