The DSO has two exciting upcoming events this month!

We will hold its next meeting, on Thursday, April 20, from 5–6pm in the Founders Room. As always, there will be tasty food. The April meeting will feature a presentation by Carolina-Nicole Hererra (HSR), entitled  “Does cost-sharing reduce mental health utilization by children with depression or anxiety?”

DSO will be joining the Science and Technology in Public Policy (STEPUP) group for a March for Science poster-making session, which will take place from 5–6:30pm on Wednesday, April 19 in L210. If you do plan to attend please RSVP at the following link so that STEPUP can order food and poster supplies appropriately: http://goo.gl/BDromw.

Finally, the DSO is looking for BUSPH doctoral student volunteers to help lead the organization next year! This is a great opportunity to work directly with doctoral students in other departments, building lasting collaborations and friendships with your future colleagues. Ideally, the DSO Organizing Committee will have a representative(s) from each BUSPH doctoral program to encourage engagement between all public health disciplines. If you and/or a colleague are interested in this opportunity, please let us know!

Stay tuned for information about upcoming professional development opportunities and subsequent monthly meetings offered by the DSO.
