The Faculty Development Committee (FDC) is looking for 2 to 3 new members. Committee members should expect to attend meetings every 2 months and to review reports and program materials in between meetings. In its 3 year tenure the committee has created, conducted, and reported a Faculty Development Survey, collaborated with the implementation of the early career faculty development program, the Academy for Faculty Advancement, with the other schools on the Medical Campus, and reviewed the new mid-career faculty development program, the Academy for Collaborative Innovation and Transformation. It also initiated the proposal for faculty development funding to provide travel funds, membership fees, books, journals through departments. FDC members also help revise the FDA and review and report on the data from the FDA. Join us and add your energy and ideas to approaches to better support SPH faculty in the career growth. Please e-mail your interest to Marianne Prout, Director of Faculty Development and Professor of Epidemiology. Junior faculty especially welcome!
