Dear Colleagues:

A brief note about our transition plans, and looking ahead to recruiting a new Associate Dean of Administration. First, while we are searching for a new ADA, our administrative functions continue unchecked. I am grateful to Assistant Dean for Administration and Finance Suzette Levenson and Assistant Dean for Finance and Technology Tom Dauria for serving as the core leaders of our administrative operations during the period when we are looking for an ADA. Suzette and Tom will continue, as they have, handling broadly the human capital and financial side, respectively, of our administrative portfolio, while working closely with me to ensure continuity and excellence of all our administrative operations. We are also fortunate that Dean Mark Prashker will still be with us for a couple of months during the transition, serving as Special Advisor to the Dean and helping our administrative team as needed. I want to thank Suzette, Tom, Mark, and the rest of our administrative team—Joline Durant, Sally Dwyer, and Justine De Marrais—for their ongoing outstanding work to ensure that we provide the scaffolding that allows us to meet our highest aspirations, at all times. Second, I have asked a small group to lead a search for a new ADA. Thanks go to Dean Harold Cox, who has agreed to chair the group, and to members of the advisory search group, including Dean Suzette Levenson and professors Les Boden and Josee Dupuis. Dean Prashker will also assist the group as Dean’s representative. We will launch a national search for a new School leader to fill this position and will make sure that candidates interview widely and broadly. A new ADA will have big shoes to fill, and I am looking forward to us finding the right candidate to help us move to our next level of excellence in the position.

As always, please do not hesitate to ask me if any questions.

I hope everyone is enjoying this August week.

Warmly,

Sandro
