Dear Colleagues,

On Friday, November 3, the School of Public Health will host its annual School-wide retreat to build on the themes emerging from strategic thinking that have led to our strategic map. The theme for this year’s retreat shall be “Why public health?”. The retreat will have two components. First, the retreat is designed to give us all an opportunity to listen to experts among us, and from outside the School, about the role that public health plays in a changing contemporary world. This will feature in part a “teach-in” on key issues in public health. Second, the retreat will help us to learn about our own School so that we can speak to the School’s strengths well. To this end we will have an interactive discussion about how we can best represent the strengths of SPH to an outside audience going forward. The day will be interactive and collaborative, and address education, research, and practice. All SPH faculty and staff are encouraged to attend. A draft agenda is attached.

Warmly,

Sandro
