There are 4 comments on High Levels of Contaminants Found in Holliston Drinking Water

  1. This has been ongoing. Not sure what well we run off but I have been told by town management that we are at the end of the line and that is why our water is always brown. I am sure there is much more to it. The town needs to provide safe clean drinking water as they are obligated. Our health is at risk. Thank you for doing the study. I hope the town takes action and doesn’t try to bandaid the issue as they usually do

  2. This is scary! Everyone needs to act on this so that we do not experience this! We need to care. It will not just affect certain parts of the world, it will affect everyone. I don’t want to wake up one day thinking of where I am supposed to get my drinking water, nor would I want to live in a world where water supply is dirty. Either way, we will die. So we better be safe than sorry.

  3. My husband and I recently moved to Holliston and were unaware of the water issues. I suppose we should have gotten a clue when we saw the stand alone filtered water cooler in the kitchen during our walk-through.

I researched Holliston water immediately after drinking it because the water did not taste right. Even with our Brita filter the water tastes and smells of chlorine. As a pregnant women, there is no way I am drinking this. We are just so disappointed that we will now have to add buying water to our already tight budget. And as someone who tries to reduce plastic, this is even more upsetting.

I hope something substantial is done to fix this. It’s such a lovely community, but I’m not sure we would have moved here had we read the studies first.
