  1. Most people are reasonable and want to help others. Unfortunately, the politicians like Trump, hate talk radio, and Fox News, spread poison to their listeners. Repetition of lies, amplifies them, and people begin to question their own values and Christian principles. They view the “others” with suspicion and less than human beings. This is what happened with the holocaust, and earlier with the Armenian, Greek, and Assyrian genocides in Asia Minor.

  2. I am a conservative constitutionalist that supports the current administration (Trump, et al). I also live in Spartanburg County, SC.
To bag me with a stereotype of ungrounded falsities based upon my ‘group’ is the foundation for the holocaust refered to by another commenter. Everything I have seen so far from my ‘group’ and from this administration is not hate. It is rule of law, common sense immigration, and protection. I have personally experienced it here in Spartanburg, I have witnessed it here in SC, and I have observed it nationwide.
To hate on me because of my beliefs, and voting record, is exactly what you say you hate.
Now, to speak to the article – wonderful that you spent time here in my community. As a whole – down to a person – I am proud to say we love our community, we embrace our neighbors, and we welcome those ‘not from around here.’ We recognize that we all have faults, and to treat you different because of your ‘fault’ is overlooking the plank in my eye. We can disagree, we can speak different languages (there are a lot of different cultures and languages here in Spartanburg County, even a robust Malaysian and Croatian cohort), but we all are people – ALL of us, even if we disagree on who we voted for.
If who we voted for is all you got to focus on, then you have already lost the arguement. Come on down and see how we get along with those around us. Some of the most vocal and staunchest Trump supporters are working alongside the loudest and most active Hillary supporters helping a Sanders supporter on a project that a Green Party person started. Even the Trump Haters and never-Trumpers pitch in from time to time. Why? Because we get it – we get that life here on the grassroots level is much more about us getting along, raising good citizens the best we know how, supporting each other, helping each other up when we fall, and celebrating each others’ success.
It definitely is NOT about whatever the media reports on – CNN, MSMBC, FOX or talk radio.
So, hate on me all you want- bless your heart – and come see how America works in #OneSpartanburg.
