Departmental Mission

• Serve as a center of excellence within the University community in establishing and maintaining best-in-class supply and spend management services pertaining to research, education, athletics and facilities.
• Assist the BU community in the procurement of goods and services by providing advice, counsel, and other service activities that ensure favorable prices, protective terms and conditions.
• Develop strategic partnerships with critical suppliers when the benefit to BU is clearly demonstrated and leverage buying opportunities wherever possible while recognizing the needs of individuals and departments .
• Continually improve the procurement process by benchmarking key activities in the university, especially the supply chains and the budget process .
