SAP SRM – How to Assign a Delivery Address to a Shopping Cart (Multiple Line Items)
This walk-through will show shoppers how to:
- Assign values for Delivery Location and Cost Center to multiple line items within a cart
Where this applies: All types of carts accessed from a Professional Cart
How to Access a Professional Cart: Procurement Tab > Place & Manage Orders > Create Documents
Keep in Mind:
- By executing this process, you are technically setting up a Default Value for Account Assignment and Delivery Address
- The Default Values will only affect shopping cart lines subsequently created for the single active cart
- Manipulating Default Values during the process of adding shopping cart lines will result in variation in Delivery Address values
- Previously created Personalizations for Delivery Address and Account Assignment will populate the Default Settings of a shopping cart
- This means you can add-to or over-write any Personalization information
- Example: specifying room numbers and cost center information which could not be specified through a Personalization
When you arrive at a Professional Shopping Cart (Blank Shopping Cart), click on the Set Values link next to Default Settings
When you arrive at the Change Default Settings window, click on the Account Assignment tab
If you have already created a Personalization for Account Assignment, Personalization information will show up here. You have the ability to over-write or add-to Personalization information on a cart-by-cart basis.
If you have not already created a Personalization for Account Assignment, set your values for Account Assignment Category and Assign Number fields
Click on the Delivery Address / Performance Location tab
Again, if you have already created a Personalization for Delivery Address / Performance Location, Personalization information will show up here. You have the ability to over-write or add-to Personalization information on a cart-by-cart basis.
Below is an example of what automatically populates from my Personalization when I click on the Delivery Address tab. While my Personalization is helpful for establishing some of the information in this tab, it does not populate crucial fields such as C/O, Floor, and Room.
Type in Department and Name within the C/O field
Type in Floor and Room numbers within the Floor/Room field
Click the OK button
Click the Add Item button to view a listing of items you can add to a cart
In the screenshot below, I have highlighted the different item types you will use as a shopper.
I have also crossed-off any item types you should not use.
For this walkthrough, I have added nine line items from the Apple Hosted Catalog
Looking into the Account Assignment tab, I can verify that all lines have been assigned with the information I specified earlier in the Default Settings
