Boston University Recognized for Supplier Diversity
Boston University’s Sourcing & Procurement Director, Richard Stack, was recently honored with an invitation to present at the 4th Annual Supplier Diversity Best Practices Forum held at Boston’s Fenway Park. The Forum, sponsored by the Initiative for a New Economy, was meant to foster discussion regarding successful formulas for developing minority suppliers.
Richard was chosen as a speaker for his efforts in using supplier diversity as a business strategy and understanding the benefits to the University, the suppliers, and the community in which they are located. Richard’s presentation was highlighted with the following topics: Diversity at Boston University, the Business Case for Supplier Diversity, and Advancing Supplier Diversity at Boston University.
Standing in for Mayor Menino at the last moment, Chief Economic Development Officer for the City of Boston, Peter Meade spoke at the event. Other notable presenters included the New England Business Editor and WBZ NewsRadio Anchor, Anthony Silva and Senior Director of Supplier Diversity at Sodexo, Darlene Fuller.
