New Employees in Sourcing & Procurement

We are pleased to announce the addition of four new employees this month to the Sourcing & Procurement Department. Please join us in welcoming them to our team.


  • Keith Haran has joined Boston University as Category Manager, Facilities and Site Services reporting to Rosalind D’Amico. Keith has fifteen years of experience in increasingly responsible roles within finance, logistics and procurement at several companies including Fidelity Investments, First Data Investor Services and Putnam Investments. In his most recent position, Keith managed inventory, purchasing and logistics for It’s Academic, a privately held company that designs, markets and distributes school and office products. Keith was a key member of the company’s sales and operation planning team.

    Keith holds a Bachelor’s degree from Providence College and an MBA from Boston College.

  • Danielle LaJoie reports directly to Richard Stack as the Assistant to the Director. Before joining Boston University, Danielle worked as the East Regional Administrator at Oxford & Associates. At Oxford, Danielle prepared budgets, reporting metrics and assisted management with employee relations. Danielle also worked for two years as a Residence Director at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.

    Danielle holds a Bachelor’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University in History and Fine Arts. While in school, Danielle was a member of the Varsity softball team and served as a Resident Assistant for three years.

  • Paul O’Shea has been named Buyer, Information Technology reporting directly to Walter Duffy. Paul comes to Sourcing and Procurement from City Sports where he worked as an Equipment and License Buyer. Paul further developed his leadership and buying experience at Reebok International as an Associate Product Marketing Manager and at Decathlon Sports US as a Cycle Buyer/Inventory Manager. Paul also worked overseas for two years in Nottingham, England serving as a Manager for Decathlon Sports UK.

    Paul holds a Bachelor’s degree from Merrimack College in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Paul was a member of the Varsity soccer team.

  • David Wong has joined Boston University as Buyer, Laboratory Supplies and Services reporting to Devin Vaughn. David holds a degree in Business Management with a concentration in Finance from the University of Massachusetts Boston. He is also a graduate of Boston Latin High School. Just prior to coming to work for the University, David worked as a Real Estate agent at Kunevich & Lau specializing in rentals. David has held internships at Bullhorn Inc. and State Street Corporation where he refined his customer service skills.

    David is fluent in Cantonese, proficient in Mandarin and has a basic knowledge of Spanish.

Three additional staff members have been recruited to contract positions:


  • Ike Babbitt is working with Devin Vaughn as a contract Buyer purchasing lab supplies. Ike is a recent graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges with a degree in Economics. Before joining the Sourcing and Procurement team, Ike was working as a Laser Travel Team Coach at Servern Sailing Association in Annapolis, Maryland. At Servern, Ike was responsible for developing academic curriculum and physical training for members.

    While in school Ike was the named a Hobart Heritage Scholar. He was also a member of the Varsity Sailing team.

  • Kristin Legier recently joined Sourcing & Procurement as a contract Buyer working directly for Heather Gillis. Kristin will be specializing in matters of business services such as consulting services and contingent labor. Kristin is a recent graduate of Bryant University. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. Kristin worked for Travelers Insurance as an Outside Property Claim Representative prior to joining Boston University. While at Travelers Insurance she was primarily responsible for investigating, negotiating and resolving property insurance claims.

  • Dina Mihalaros is working with Devin Vaughn as a contract Buyer purchasing lab supplies. Dina graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Dietetics. Dina’s degree in Dietetics required extensive scientific study including courses in microbiology, organic chemistry, anatomy & physiology. Prior to her arrival at Boston University, Dina strengthened her customer services skills as a Sales Associate at Burberry Limited.

We are also happy to have four Boston University students joining Sourcing & Procurement this semester:


  • Raymond Chen is a third year student at Boston University. He is studying Finance and Accounting at School of Management. He is also a graduate of Boston Latin High School. In his free time Raymond enjoys billiards, video games and badminton.

  • Lina Lei is a second year student at Boston University from New York City. Lina is currently undecided on a major but is leaning towards enrolling in the School of Management. In her free time Lina enjoys reading, writing, sketching and playing badminton.

  • Naomi Velasquez is a first year student here at the University. She comes to Boston University from Brookline, Massachusetts. She is currently studying Political Science. In her free time Naomi enjoys playing volleyball.

  • Morgan Anne Kristen Parker is a first year student in the College of Engineering. In her spare time Morgan sings A Cappella with BU’s “Chordially Yours.”
