Academy Bus has partnered with Boston University to provide campus shuttle services, known as the BUS. If you haven’t ridden the BUS lately, you don’t know what you are missing. The new vehicles feature low floors for easier access, large windows and a whole new look. As the Fall semester nears, expect to see more prominent BU branding on the vehicles, testing of larger “articulated” buses with even greater capacity, and service updates via Twitter, Facebook and email.Academy Bus was chosen as the result of an extensive competitive bid process conducted by Sourcing & Procurement and Parking & Transportation Services. Academy Bus is headquartered in Hoboken, NJ. They operate 400 bus trips daily in commuter service, carrying in excess of 4 million passengers annually. In addition, they operate over 160 buses in contract service operation of over 5 million miles annually.
