BIO AND RESEARCH

Atanas Grozdev graduated in 2009 with a B.A. in Sociology from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” in Sofia, Bulgaria. He worked at the Center for Communication and Civic Engagement at the University of Washington, while studying there (2006-2007) as a Soros’ scholar. He spent a semester as an exchange student at the Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany (2008-2009). His interests include religion, politics, globalization and social change.  His B.A. thesis was on the current political use of religion in Bulgaria.
