American Institute of Afghanistan Studies

The American Institute of Afghanistan Studies (AIAS) is a private, non-profit organization run by scholars with the aim of promoting and encouraging the systematic study of the culture, society, land, languages, health, peoples and history of Afghanistan. It will be especially concerned with increasing the numbers of scholars in the United States who have expertise in, and understanding of Afghanistan, and to assist in the rebuilding of academic institutions and the advanced study of Afghanistan by Afghan scholars.

Ilex Foundation promotes the study of humanistic traditions that derive from the civilizations of the Mediterranean and Near East, and is dedicated to disseminating the research it promotes through the application of information technology. Ilex is a non-governmental organization dedicated to purely intellectual agenda.

Global Health Initiative at Boston University

The Global Health Initiative promotes multi-disciplinary research, education, outreach and policy studies across and beyond the Boston University community. Our goal is to contribute to reducing disparities in health through the generation of new knowledge, the education of our students as "Global Citizens," and the development of partnerships with global health leaders, scholars, and practitioners around the world.

American Research Institute in Turkey

The American Research Institute in Turkey (ARIT) is a non-profit educational institution dedicated to promoting American and Turkish research and exchange related to Turkey in all fields of the humanities and social sciences. ARIT provides support for these scholarly endeavors through maintaining research centers in Istanbul and Ankara and administering a program of fellowships to support research in Turkey at the doctoral and post-doctoral levels.
