Research Interests:

Dr. Wise has an interest in women’s health and reproductive epidemiology.  Her previous research has involved the study of fertility, benign reproductive tumors, menopause, interpersonal violence, and depression in women.  Her recent work focuses on the epidemiology of uterine leiomyomata (fibroids) in black women and risk factors for delayed time to pregnancy. Dr. Wise is co-investigator of the Black Women’s Health Study, a nationwide prospective cohort study of over 59,000 U.S. black women. She is also co-investigator of an Internet-based study of time to pregnancy in Danish women.
