Phil Sandler, MD
I enjoy laughing with friends and family, relish being a husband, son, brother, father, and grandfather. I've traveled to over forty countries and appreciate tradition and innovation. I grew up in the Boston suburbs, studied at the University of Paris and at Columbia University, obtained an MD degree at the University of Pittsburgh, and then returned to New York for psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center. I raised my family in Lunenburg, MA, where I had a family therapy practice, directed the psychiatry department at Burbank Hospital in Fitchburg, and worked for almost twenty years in community psychiatry. I consider it a privilege to work with the team at Student Health Services and to help students grow stronger and healthier in body, mind, and spirit.
