Brian Grady

Staff Psychologist

Behavioral Medicine

I am excited to be a part of BU’s Behavioral Medicine staff.  Prior to coming to BU, I worked in a variety of clinical settings including McLean Hospital and The Brookline Community Mental Health Center.  Much of my clinical training and professional experiences are rooted in college mental health, having worked at counseling centers at New England Conservatory of Music and Boston College.  I tend to think psychodynamically about how we can learn from patterns that repeat.  I have an active and interpersonal therapeutic style that stresses collaboration and integration of strength-based approaches along with cognitive behavioral and mindfulness techniques.  I believe that young adulthood is time of many rich questions that can shape and reshape our life stories.  Joining in that process with respect for the uniqueness and diversity of each human experience is something I value both personally and professionally.  I like to fill my free time with meaningful connection, adventure and the many ways of getting into nature.
