Online Appointment Scheduling
As part of an ongoing effort to improve services at the Student Health Services, appointments may now be made online for the following types of visits:
- Primary Care Physical Exam, Female - Schedule Annual Physical Exam
- Primary Care Physical Exam, Male - Schedule Annual Physical Exam
- Primary Care Annual GYN Exam - Schedule Gynecological exam with pap smear & breast exam
- Rapid HIV Testing
- Travel Visit
- Insurance/Billing Consultation
Online appointments may be made by following these steps:
- Log onto Patient | Connect with your BU ID and Kerberos password
- Select the Department you would like to schedule an appointment with
- Primary Care
- Travel Clinic
- Insurance/Billing
- Select the type of visit you would like to schedule
- Follow the prompts to schedule an appointment

Online Clinical Questionnaires
Depending on your type of visit, you may be asked to fill out an online questionnaire in order for us to better understand your healthcare needs. Follow these steps to access the questionnaire:
- Log onto Patient | Connect with your BU ID and Kerberos password
- Click GO TO APPOINTMENTS
- Click Click Here to fill out Clinical Questionnaire
- Fill out the questionnaire with as much information as possible and click Continue when finished

Online Prescription Refill Request
You can now refill your existing Student Health Services prescription online using secure messaging.
*Note: Only existing prescriptions originally given by Student Health Services with valid remaining refills may be refilled online. For expired prescriptions or prescriptions with no refills remaining, please contact the original prescriber.
- Log onto Patient | Connect with your BU ID and Kerberos password
- Click GO TO MESSAGES
- Select NEW MESSAGE
- Select PRESCRIPTION REFILL REQUEST
- Complete required fields and click the SEND button

Secure Messaging
As part of an ongoing effort to improve services at the Student Health Services, we have begun using secure messaging in order to provide a confidential and convenient method of communication regarding your health care. Secure messaging may be used by providers to provide general information, lab results or follow-up instructions. If you are sent a secure message, notification will be sent to your Boston University email address. Follow these steps to access your secure message:
- Click the link to log onto your Patient | Connect home page.
- Log onto Patient | Connect with your BU ID and Kerberos password.
- Click GO TO MESSAGES.
- The secure messages you have received will appear in your Secure Messages Inbox. Click READ IT to view one of the messages.
To send a message:
- Click NEW MESSAGE
- Select the type of message you would like to send
- Click CONTINUE
- Follow the instruction on the screen

Local Address and Phone Number
To edit your local contact information:
- Click PROFILE
- Click EDIT next to local phone number or address
- Enter the new information
- Click CONTINUE
