Allergy Injections
A limited number of students can be seen for allergy injections and prior arrangements must be made. Allergy injections require significant Nursing and Provider oversight and can be potentially dangerous, carrying a risk of severe allergic reaction. Therefore, we limit the number of allergy shot patients and place limits on the complexity of allergy regimens that we will manage.
A fee is charged for the academic year and a portion of this fee may be refundable if an entire semester is missed. Patients must bring their allergy serum to Student Health Services along with detailed, typed instructions signed by their allergy care provider. All information must be received before starting injections. We do not see individuals who have not already received their initial injection at their allergist. Please view the guidelines for documentation on incoming allergy serum and instructions. Student Health Services reserves the right to refer more complex allergy problems to a specialist outside Student Health Services. Students are responsible for charges outside Student Health Services.
Please see the list of Local Allergists for more information.
