Richard Stuver, LICSW
I am happy to be back at BU where I received my Master of Social Work (SSW’93). I am a clinical social worker (LICSW) and a Diplomate in Clinical Social Work (DCSW) from the National Association of Social Workers. I came here from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center where I was on staff for almost 12 years. I provided individual and group psychotherapy as well as supervision for staff and trainees. Before that, I was on staff at two community mental health centers. I taught at Harvard Medical School for four years in the 3rd-year sequence. In my private practice, I consult to community HIV/AIDS case management programs and the Massachusetts Medical Benevolent Society. I find helping people sort out and work through what troubles them to be important and satisfying. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family.
