Sonia Alleyne, Nurses Assistant

I grew up on the island of Barbados and migrated to Boston in 1990. I was educated at Hindsbury Primary School and Saint Leonard’s Girls School. I am a friendly, outgoing, and reliable person who knows and loves every aspect of my job. I have been employed at Student Health Services for the past 10 years. I enjoy working here because it is a family-oriented atmosphere. I am currently enrolled in an online bachelor’s degree program in health administration and medical records at the University of Phoenix. My hobbies are writing poetry, dancing, cooking, and meeting people. My favorite quote is by Louisa May Alcott: “Far away in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see the beauty, believe in them and try to follow where they lead.” I am team oriented and work well under pressure. One must be fond of people and trust them, if one is to make the most of life.
