Use search terms from a search result (e.g., the descriptors or subjects listed at the end of an abstract and key words found in other fields of a journal article (title, author, key words in abstract.)

Go to a database and click on the thesaurus. Enter a search word that is relevant to your research interest or question. Choose one search word or term and perform the search in the basic or advanced screen. From the search results, choose one entry and record three new search terms that you find from the subjects or descriptors, the abstract, or the title of the citation.
