Claire Wolfteich is an associate professor at Boston University. She holds BA in Religious Studies from Yale University, an MDiv from the University of Chicago, a postgraduate diploma in pastoral studies from St. Patrick’s College in Maynooth, Ireland, and a PhD in Practical Theology from the University of Chicago. A lauded professor, administrator, and researcher, she has held numerous leadership roles in professional societies and is currently completing a term as President of the International Academy of Practical Theology. Her work has been presented in numerous publications and presentations, and her groundbreaking initiatives in pastoral theology have been supported by several major grants from the Lily Endowment. She taught at the DePaul University and Boston College before joining the faculty of the BU School of Theology, where she serves as Associate Professor of Practical Theology and Spiritual Formation and Co-Director for the Center for Practical Theology at BU.
