In School and After School

BUILD supports in-school and after-school tutoring Monday through Friday.

Tutors are placed in classrooms to assist teachers with kindergarten to fifth grade students, many of whom are English language learners. Tutors work during the morning literacy block and are typically assigned to one or two students at a time.

The Winship has a special focus on math and science. It is the only BUILD site where tutors also provide math tutoring through America Counts.

Hours: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. (travel time not included)
