BUILD provides support during the school day Monday through Friday.

Tutors are placed in second- and third-grade classrooms and assist teachers during the literacy block. Tutors work with both small groups and individual children on reading fluency and reading comprehension skills.

Hours: 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. (travel time included)

After School

Trotter’s after-school program operates Monday through Friday.

Tutors provide classroom support during the last hour of the school day. During this “power hour,” from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., tutors assist small groups or individual students who need help with reading and writing activities. From 3:30 to 5 p.m., tutors work with a group of students, assisting with homework and engaging them in literacy games.

Hours: 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. (travel time included)
