About the Students
All degree-seeking Boston University students may view job descriptions posted with the Quick Job Service. However, in order to receive contact information for a job, students must first register with us. This ensures that they abide by the policies of the Service. Every time information on an employer is requested, we confirm the student’s employment eligibility and produce a referral form for them to bring to the employer.
College students tend to be committed employees. It is important to remember, however, that we do not screen students for skills or references. Before hiring a student, be sure that he or she has the skills to do the job. You are also encouraged to request and verify references.
Registered students are not permitted to bring non-registered individuals with them on any job. We recommend that employers ask to see the referral form and a BU identification card when the student reports to work. Please notify our office if any student brings along a non-registered individual or refuses to show identification. We also welcome any feedback on the students that work for you.
