Science Education Teaching Experience

Share your passion for science and affect the future. Help teach the science you are learning in your classes to students in the Boston Public Schools.

SED CT 375: Pre-Practicum for Secondary Schools (2 cr)
Thirty hours of classroom experience during the semester scheduled between 8 AM and 2 PM to fit the student’s schedule and schedule of cooperating school. Weekly course meetings of 1.5 hours. Students are responsible for their own transportation to travel to schools. Registration is limited. A 2.7 overall GPA is necessary with a 3.0 GPA in the science courses of your major field.

Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate students at the School of Education benefit from the community feel of a small school along with the resources of a large university. Our students are in the field in both urban and suburban schools as early as their first year at SED.
