Research Requirements

Ed.M. students must successfully complete one of the first or second level research courses. Most Ed.M. students will be advised to take RS 600. With consent of the instructor, some Ed.M. students may elect a second level course to satisfy the research requirement.

Ed.D. students must complete successfully THREE research courses beyond those taken for the master's degree, including at least one upper level course. Enrollment in second level courses is contingent upon completion of RS 600 or consent of the instructor. Enrollment in the upper level research courses is contingent upon successful completion of two of the second level research courses, one of which must be SED RS 650. Students with substantial background in research may petition for modification of these research requirements.
