9/23/2011 – Updates on Faculty and Staff Mail Migration:

Those people with Exchange email accounts currently will be moved to the new Exchange 2010 cluster on October 13th.  If you have an Exchange email account you should have already recieved an email from Brent regarding the upcoming switch.

If you are using Microsoft Outlook(for mac or pc), that mail client will detect the change and find your mailbox on the new system.  If you use another desktop mail client, there will be information here: http://www.bu.edu/tech/accounts/email/exchange/ to assist you in setting up your email.

People who have email setup on their phones may need to change the configuration in order to continue receiving email.  This website: http://www.bu.edu/tech/comm/email/exchange/client-migration/ provides more detail about how specific mail clients will behave when your account is migrated.

If Oct. 13th comes and you cannot get into your email. Please go to http://www.bu.edu/sed/it/it-support-request/ and fill out a support request with appropriate contact information so that we can come to assist you.

The new webmail system will still be hosted at https://xmail.bu.edu so that website will continue to allow you access to your mailbox in the event that you are having issues with your desktop mail client.

Accounts still using Horde/ACS will be migrated towards the end of October, a date has not been set yet.

Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate students at the School of Education benefit from the community feel of a small school along with the resources of a large university. Our students are in the field in both urban and suburban schools as early as their first year at SED.

Graduate Students

Talented graduate students from around the world prepare to become teachers, counselors, administrators, and more in as little as one year at the School of Education. Our students engage in diverse aspects of education both in the classroom and the field.
