Part-time Study for Working Professionals
Most programs at the Boston University School of Education lend themselves to part-time study so that you can keep your day job and still experience the same academic rewards that most other schools only reserve for full-time students. With the exception of student teaching and field placements, a significant portion of graduate courses take place during the late afternoon and evening hours or during the summer term.
The Part-Time Student’s Tuition Advantage
Graduate study at Boston University can be surprisingly affordable. The School recognizes that educators continue to update their skills through the course of their careers and therefore offers a reduced tuition rate for all graduate students who enroll part-time in late afternoon or evening courses or during the summer term. Most School of Education graduate courses are offered after four o’clock. Except for classes involving student teaching or field placement, most — or all — graduate courses in your program can be scheduled to give you the option of the reduced tuition rate so that you can work with the same distinguished faculty that our full-time students do but on your terms — around your professional commitments.
The School of Education evening tuition rate is approximately half the price per credit of the regular rate, cutting the cost of a Boston University degree in half. For instance:
A student enrolled full-time incurs a tuition bill per typical 16-credit semester of:
