As a Professor of Education for over 35 years, Dr. Gaylen B. Kelley coordinated the program in Educational Media & Technology and taught in the areas of facilities design for media and technology as well as applying media to education and training. Particularly interested in facilities design and media program development, Dr. Kelley acted as a consultant for schools, corporations, biomedical, and higher education environments. Dr. Kelley had extensive experience directing externally funded media development and training projects, both in this country and overseas. Overseas assignments took him to Germany, Portugal, Colombia, Egypt, Puerto Rico, and Malawi. His research interests included the application of communications technologies to educational and corporate training problems. He also served as an officer in several local, regional, and national media organizations. Among his many consultations were speaking assignments in Naples and Avellino, Italy, sponsored by the University of Naples and IBM, Italy, and in Frankfurt, Germany, for the Department of Defense Dependent Schools. Among his corporate and higher education consultations in New England were clients such as Harvard University School of Medicine, MIT, State Street Bank, Bank of New England, and the former Digital Equipment Corporation. |
