The Admissions Committee reviews applications to most programs on a rolling basis.  However, in some instances, applicants may be required or strongly encouraged to apply by a particular deadline.   

Typically, admissions decisions are released four to six weeks after a complete application is received.  The review process may take longer during the summer and winter recesses.  Please note, the Admissions Committee only reviews complete applications.  

Deadline Information
Applicants are encouraged to apply no later than the deadlines listed below.  Applicants may find program specific information by reviewing the Academic section of the website.

Applicants interested in applying for financial assistance should review the Financial Aid section of the website for specific deadline and requirement information.

Please Note: There is a moratorium on applications for programs in Human Development and Education for 2009-2010.

The following programs have a strict application deadline of February 15. Applications received after February 15 will be reviewed on a space available basis only.

  • February 15: Master's & CAGS applicants for all programs.
 
Fall 2010
  • January 15: Doctoral applicants applying for financial assistance.
  • February 15: Master's & CAGS applicants applying for financial assistance.
  • February 15: All applicants applying to Deaf Studies Programs. Applications received after February 15 will be reviewed on a space available basis only.
  • February 15: All applicants applying to the International Educational Development Program. Applications received after February 15 will be reviewed on a space available basis only.
  • February 15: All applicants applying to the Ed.M. in Counseling. Applications received after February 15 will be reviewed on a space available basis only.
  • International applicants should apply no later than April 1.
  • Applicants applying to programs with school placements should apply no later than May 1.

Starting Semester Information
Due to course sequence requirements, some degree programs only admit students for the Fall and/or Summer semesters.  These programs do not admit students to start in the Spring semester.  For a list of programs with Fall and/or Summer start semesters only, please see below.
