Teach for America

What is the partnership between Teach for America and the School of Education?

Boston University School of Education (SED) and Teach for America (TFA) Greater Boston have formed a partnership based on a shared commitment to increasing equity in urban education.  TFA Corps members serving the Boston and Greater Boston area take coursework at SED in order to fulfill state licensure requirements in their grade level and subject area.  TFA Corps members have the option to continue their studies to fulfill requirements to earn a Master of Education in Curriculum and Teaching.

How can I apply to TFA?

For more information on applying to TFA, please visit http://www.teachforamerica.org/.  If you are admitted to TFA Greater Boston, you will be given further information about applying to the Master of Education in Curriculum and Teaching.

Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate students at the School of Education benefit from the community feel of a small school along with the resources of a large university. Our students are in the field in both urban and suburban schools as early as their first year at SED.

Graduate Students

Talented graduate students from around the world prepare to become teachers, counselors, administrators, and more in as little as one year at the School of Education. Our students engage in diverse aspects of education both in the classroom and the field.
