Professor Chapin Presents in New Zealand

chapinProfessor Suzanne Chapin will deliver keynote speeches to educators across New Zealand at the end of April, 2014. Professor Chapin was invited to speak by the New Zealand Minister of Education. She will discuss her work on Classroom Discussions in Math.

Chapin developed Classroom Discussion in Math in conjunction with Professor Cathy O’Connor and Nancy Anderson, Boston University School of Education graduate.

Additionally, Professor Chapin will meet with mathematics specialists and coaches while in New Zealand to help them practice effective ways to implement more mathematical discussions in mathematics classrooms.
