Alumni Magazine “@SED” wins 2013 CASE District I Communications Gold Award


The Boston University School of Education alumni magazine, @SED, recently received a┬ácommunications award from the Council for Advancement & Support of Education (CASE) District I. @SED won a gold award in the category of “Newsletters/Newspapers” for its full-color print publication.

The CASE District I is the regional chapter of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education representing the northeastern Summer 2013 CoverUnited States and eastern Canada. The objective of CASE is to provide information, tools, and networking opportunities to professionals working in alumni relations, communications, and development. CASE works to help these professionals achieve career goals and advance educational institutions.

The CASE Communications awards evaluate overall design, content and writing, and use of photography, graphics, and technology. Award recipients are recognized for outstanding achievement in higher education, independent school, and non-profit organization communications.

This year, 2013, @SED received the gold for its two most recent issues – Summer 2013 and Fall 2012/Winter 2013.

Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate students at the School of Education benefit from the community feel of a small school along with the resources of a large university. Our students are in the field in both urban and suburban schools as early as their first year at SED.

Talented graduate students from around the world prepare to become teachers, counselors, administrators, and more in as little as one year at the School of Education. Our students engage in diverse aspects of education both in the classroom and the field.
