SED Hosts International Children’s Author, Ifeoma Onyefulu

Boston University School of Education recently hosted international children’s author, Ifeoma Onyefulu as a guest speaker. Onyefulu has twice received the award for best children’s book about Africa published in the US, for the works Ikenna Goes to Nigeria, and Here Comes Our Bride.

Onyefulu first visited the Trotter Elementary School, meeting with Trotter students, faculty, and BU students. The author also signed copies of her publications for the Trotter school.

BUSED later hosted an event in association with the Boston University African Studies Center, featuring Ifeoma Onyefulu. Over 40 people from the BU community attended the event. Onyefulu discussed her works using photography to illustrate everyday life, and traveling and living in Africa.
