Jumpstart BU Begins New Partnership with Little Sprouts

Jumpstart at Boston University is partnering with a new preschool, Little Sprouts, for the 2013-2014 school year.

Fourteen BU students will be working at the new site, Little Sprouts, serving between 30 and 40 children. Little Sprouts, located on Albany Street in South Boston, was founded in 1982 when a group of budding humanitarians became committed to changing the world through the power of literacy.

Jumpstart at Boston University partners with various schools to provide a high-quality, comprehensive program that focuses on the development of the child, his or her family, and the university student serving with this national organization as an AmeriCorps member.

For more information or to apply to be a Corps member, visit Jumpstart online or contact Jacqueline Bennett at jacqbenn@bu.edu.

Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate students at the School of Education benefit from the community feel of a small school along with the resources of a large university. Our students are in the field in both urban and suburban schools as early as their first year at SED.

Graduate Students

Talented graduate students from around the world prepare to become teachers, counselors, administrators, and more in as little as one year at the School of Education. Our students engage in diverse aspects of education both in the classroom and the field.
