BU School of Education becomes a member of AACTE

Boston University School of Education is now a member of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE). The AACTE is a national alliance of educator preparation programs dedicated to the highest quality professional development of teachers and school leaders in order to enhance PK-12 student learning. As a member of the AACTE, the BU School of Education will join over 800 public and private colleges and universities from every US State as well as the District of Columbia, the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and Guam. As members of the alliance BU will be a part of a group that advocates education issues on Capitol Hill and is a leader in addressing important issues that effect teachers and the education process.

Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate students at the School of Education benefit from the community feel of a small school along with the resources of a large university. Our students are in the field in both urban and suburban schools as early as their first year at SED.

Graduate Students

Talented graduate students from around the world prepare to become teachers, counselors, administrators, and more in as little as one year at the School of Education. Our students engage in diverse aspects of education both in the classroom and the field.
