Tom H. will be bringing chocolate fudge to the Feast-of-Nations Thanksgiving Celebration.
This is the dessert after the dessert for our family. After the pies and puddings were gone, everybody got a couple of pieces of fudge. We made the fudge the night before, and whoever was most helpful in preparing for Thanksgiving got to ‘lick the pan’ that the fudge was made in. Needless to say my brother, sister, and I were always very helpful that week, and we usually shared the pan.
This is the best team for SED students to relive their school days of yore. We are here at SED so that we can stay in school forever, and you can prove it by forming the best dodgeball team in the university. It is very simple, sign up on the main intramural sports page, post a comment here to let people know your interest, and check the Fitrec page for the registration information (sorry, it is not on the page as of the date of this post). One more thing, get out there and start practicing!
If you want to play in this year’s 5-on-5 basketball tournament, sign up on the main intramural sports page, post some comments here to get teammates, and start practicing. The registration deadline is 25-October-2012.
Want to play soccer-tennis? (Or maybe you are just like the rest of us who are wondering what it is… ;) Sign up on the main intramural sports page, post some comments here, and get ready to do what ever soccer-tennis players do. Registration opens on 08-November-2012.
If you are interested in music, the Boston Symphony Orchestra (BSO) Student Cards, which allow students to get free tickets to performances, are available from the BU student activities office. The office is located on the second floor of the George Sherman Union. Hurry before they are gone.
Want to find someone to attend a performance with? Add a comment to this post with your name and the date of the performance.
The GSA board welcomes Kelly Flynn (TESOL 5-12) as our new first-year liaison. Kelly brings a lot of ideas and enthusiasm to SED, and we are looking forward to working with her this year.
We had our first WIP forum this past Wednesday, thanks to professors Ellenwood and Tate for helping to make this a success. There are more forums coming up, check out the WIP page for more information.
Next week our first social hour will be held at 3:30 on Wednesday 26 September in the SED lobby.

The spaces for the apple picking trip are filling up fast. If you want to take a healthy break and get away from the city for an afternoon, this is a fun trip.
