DEAN WATERS NAMED TO BU PRESIDENTIAL SEARCH COMMITTEE

February 14, 2005

(Boston) - David F. D'Alessandro, chairman of the Boston University Presidential Search Committee, today announced the appointment of Gloria S. Waters to the committee. Waters will replace former committee member Ronald K. Richardson, director of BU's African American Studies Program and an associate professor of history. Richardson recently resigned from the Presidential Search Committee in order to become a candidate for the position of university president.

Waters previously served on the faculty at McGill University in Montreal. She earned a bachelor's degree from McGill, and a master's degree in applied psychology and a doctorate in psychology from Concordia University.
