The Human Subjects Use Committee
The Sargent Committee for Human Subjects Use (SAR/HSC) reviews all student research projects within Sargent that involve the use of or data from human subjects. The principal investigator for these projects must be a student and the project must represent specific student work (e.g. thesis, dissertation, independent study, pilot). Projects that receive external research funding, or are adaptations of a faculty member's primary project need to be reviewed by the Charles River Campus IRB.
The Chairman of the SAR/HSC is Elliot Saltzman.
The Researcher Computer Training website is for the Computer-Based Training for Researchers administered by the National Institutes of Health's Office of Human Subjects Research. This training is acceptable to meet the current federal training requirement in human subjects' use that all individuals involved in federally funded humans subjects research must now complete.
