Aphasia Resource Center speech-language pathologist Jerry Kaplan talks to Aphasia Access about the Aphasia Community Group at Boston University. Founded by Kaplan in March 1990, the monthly group has served more than 17,000 people over 30 years.
Throughout his career, Kaplan has advocated for aphasia awareness and education through diverse and innovative programs. He has presented at the Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine, National Aphasia Association, and ASHA Conferences. He is the recipient of the Partners Health Care Community Service Award and the Aphasia Access Innovator Award.
