Eligibility Criteria and Loan Information
To be considered for financial assistance, you must:
- Be accepted and/or enrolled in a graduate degree program at BU Sargent College.
- Have all application materials on file by the required deadline of April 1 (prospective students).
- Application materials include: BU Sargent College Graduate Application for Financial Assistance (prospective students) or Continuing Student Financial Assistance Application (current students - due March 1); Tax returns if applying for Sargent need based scholarships. If student is under the age of 24 both parent and student returns are required.
- If you are requesting Federal Assistance (Stafford Direct Loans, Perkins Loan or Federal Work- Study) or need based scholarship, filing a FAFSA(Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is required and can be located at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
- Maintain enrollment status required by type of assistance, a minimum of 6 credits is required to receive Federal Loans.
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA to have aid continued into successive year.
- Be a full-time student and have demonstrated need to receive BU/Sargent scholarship.
