Scholarships
Sargent College offers a limited number of merit scholarships to incoming graduate students. There is no separate application process; award decisions are based on admissions applications.
We also offer some need-based scholarships to accepted graduate students who are not receiving merit scholarships. To be eligible, you must commit to attending BU and submit both the Sargent College Graduate Application for Financial Assistance and a Free Application for Federal Student Assistance (FAFSA). Unlike federal loans, parental support is taken into consideration in determining financial need for BU scholarship awards.
Continuing students are required to reapply for scholarship each year by submitting the Continuing Student Financial Assistance Application, due March 1. If you are receiving Need Based scholarship you will need to renew FAFSA for the upcoming year.
Scholarships are split between the fall and spring semesters. Most of our masters-level scholarships are two-year commitments. All are based on full-time status unless otherwise stated in your award letter. If you drop below full-time status, you will forfeit your award for that semester.
