Are you interested in a health service-related profession? Do you want to study applied social and behavioral sciences? Then the BU Sargent Behavior & Health program could be the right fit for you. Recognizing the importance of psychological factors in both the development and resolution of many individual health problems, the Behavior & Health BS degree provides a well-rounded education with a strong foundation in the social and behavioral sciences.

This program is unique in allowing you to explore a variety of options in the health and social services arena, preparing you for entry-level roles in health care, education, and social and human service organizations, as well as advanced study in related professional fields. With this degree, you can develop a specialization in a particular field of graduate study, including:

  • Occupational therapy
  • Counseling and behavioral medicine
  • Social work
  • Special education
  • Anthropology
  • Sociology
  • Law
  • Disability studies
