The Department of Occupational Therapy at BU Sargent College is dedicated to promoting the health, well-being, and quality of life of persons experiencing disabilities.

Our programs provide outstanding preparation for roles in both traditional settings and newly emerging areas of need. The programs’ distinctive evidence-based, occupation-focused, and client’ centered approach combines challenging coursework, diverse clinical placements, and the opportunity to collaborate with faculty who are leaders in their fields.

Program Focus

To prepare excellent practitioners who are prepared to provide occupation-focused, client-centered, and evidence-based services and are committed to leadership in practice.

Possible Career Paths:

Practice as an occupational therapist in schools, rehabilitation centers, homes, community agencies, mental health facilities, general hospitals, private practice, and international service organizations.
Provide consultation to other healthcare professionals, schools, agencies, and businesses.
Teach in occupational therapy professional programs.
Conduct research.
