Rehabilitation and Human Services Minor
The Department of Rehabilitation Sciences offers a minor in rehabilitation and human services for undergraduate students at Boston University interested in a general introduction to the concepts and functions of the rehabilitation and human service practitioner. The minor consists of six courses (24 credits).
- We are currently not accepting students into the Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation and Human Services program pending curricular revisions.
Required Courses
- SAR RC 601 Philosophy and Principles of Rehabilitation
- SAR RC 603 Medical Orientation to Rehabilitation
- SAR RC 605 Psychological and Social Aspects of Physical Disability
- SAR RC 611 Illness and Disability: The Role of the Family in Treatment and Rehabilitation
- Plus two from the following courses:
- SAR RC 500 Helping Skills
- SAR RC 533 Counseling Issues in Rehabilitation and Human Services
- SAR RC 604 Career Development and Job Placement
- SAR RC 607 Alcohol and Drug Abuse: Treatment and Rehabilitation
- Students must receive a grade of B- or better in each course.
